Vuma Hills Tented Camp

Vuma Hills Tented Camp stands on a wooded ridge above the Mkata floodplain in Mikumi National Park, one of Tanzania's most accessible parks and just a few hours from Dar es Salaam. Its 16 spacious tents sit on raised wooden decks under makuti thatch, each with a private veranda, netted bed and en suite bathroom, cooled by the altitude and shade of the surrounding miombo woodland. The camp's elevated position gives it some of the best views in the park, looking straight down over plains where elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and lion move against a backdrop of the Uluguru Mountains. A thatched lounge, dining deck and bar overlook the same view, and sundowners are taken out on the plains as the light fades. Vuma Hills Tented Camp is run by Foxes Safari Camps and reached by road or scheduled Safari Air Link flight.
