About this stay
Speke Bay Lodge is thatched with a grass roof in the traditional style of the local Sukuma people, stretched out along the shore of Lake Victoria. Guests choose between lake facing bungalows and safari tents, each with a private bathroom and hot shower. Three round buildings joined by a large terrace house a well stocked bar and a restaurant serving fresh fish from the lake alongside international and Tanzanian cuisine. The lodge is a natural stop between the Serengeti and Lake Victoria, with rocky bays, fishing dhows and long sunsets over the water.
