Ol Tukai Lodge

Ol Tukai Lodge is set inside Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, in an area long known for its concentration of elephants and open plains. The lodge dates back to 1996 and stands on the original site used to film Snows of Kilimanjaro in 1948, giving it a strong sense of history alongside its Maasai cultural ties. The 80 chalet style rooms are built from local timber, thatch and river stone, each with a private terrace facing either the wetlands or Kilimanjaro. Guests spend their days on game drives through the swamps and open savannah, then return to a free form swimming pool, tennis court, spa treatments and the Elephant Bar, where sundowners are served as the sun sets behind the mountain. Dinners lean into traditional Maasai entertainment, with theme nights and a locally trained kitchen team. The lodge is disability friendly, with two EU standard accessible rooms, and works closely with the surrounding Maasai community on cultural experiences, bonfire evenings and elephant research initiatives run from the property.
