Martina's Retreat

Martina's Retreat is an intimate nine room lodge in Karatu, named after Regie Bahyo's wife Martina, set about a kilometer off the main tarmac road in the Ngorongoro Highlands. It lies directly on the safari path between Lake Manyara National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area gate, each roughly twenty minutes away. The nine en suite rooms, including two family suites with connecting room options, have fireplaces, private patios and in room tea and coffee stations, each looking out over a coffee plantation and neighboring farmland. The main lodge houses a bar and dining room overlooking the swimming pool, serving family style meals made with locally sourced ingredients, and flexible meal plans from bed and breakfast to full board.
