Mara Under Canvas is an eco-friendly mobile tented camp by Tanganyika Wilderness Camps, situated in the Mara Triangle area of northern Serengeti — the closest camp to the Mara River. The camp features 10 tents and one family tent, positioned at ground level with private porches.
Each tent offers king-sized beds with generous en-suite facilities including bucket showers and flush toilets. Solar energy provides lighting in all tents. The family tent consists of two interconnected tents with a shared bathroom and private porch. The camp peaks from July through November when the Great Migration is in full swing.
Separate lounge and dining tents provide gathering spaces for rest periods between game drives. The camp's proximity to the river offers exceptional opportunities to witness wildebeest and zebra crossings — one of nature's most dramatic spectacles.
