Soroi Serengeti Lodge occupies a natural plateau in the Western Corridor of Serengeti National Park, high enough that the Musabi Plains run out unbroken below the deck. Its 25 rooms are strung along the plateau edge under thatched roofs, built on hardwood floors with four poster beds, mosquito nets and en suite bathrooms that open onto outdoor showers. Every room has its own balcony facing the plains, and the two honeymoon rooms add a private lounge and double vanities. Lodge life centres on a three tier deck that steps down the hillside, holding a swimming pool, an open firepit for the evenings and an open plan restaurant and kitchen. Seronera airstrip is about 50 minutes away by road. The Western Corridor carries the migration through on its way north in the middle months of the year and holds resident game on the plains for the rest, while family rooms sleeping three or four suit parties travelling with children.
