Lake Manze Tented Camp

Lake Manze Tented Camp is an authentic safari camp in Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve), offering twelve Meru-style walk-in tents on the shores of Lake Manze. The camp embraces a philosophy of simplicity and connection with nature — it is the only camp in Nyerere that has chosen not to have electricity in the rooms. Each tent features twin or double beds, flush toilets, solar-heated outdoor showers, and a private veranda with lake views. Evenings are illuminated by storm lanterns, creating a magical atmosphere that harks back to classic safari days. Solar power heats the showers and powers the fans, maintaining comfort without compromising the wilderness experience. Meals are a sociable affair with all guests dining together under a shady thatch, sharing safari stories over simple, wholesome food. All meals are included in the room rate. Activities include game drives, boat safaris on the lakes and rivers, and early morning bush walks — offering a diverse and immersive safari experience in one of Africa's largest protected areas.
