Kuro Tarangire

Kuro Tarangire is a classic safari camp by Nomad Tanzania, set on the banks of the Tarangire River in the heart of Tarangire National Park — famous for its enormous elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The camp features six light safari tents offering an intimate and authentic bush experience. Each tent sits among the trees with en-suite bathroom facilities including flush eco-toilets, indoor and outdoor bucket showers, and a private veranda overlooking the river and surrounding woodland. Comfortable wooden beds are decorated in simple yet elegant style with colourful rugs and earth-toned furnishings. Two rooms can be joined for families sleeping up to five, and additional single beds can be added for young children. The main area features rustic wooden furniture offset with leather, sheepskin, and cowhides. A shaded veranda runs the full length of the building for sunrise viewing, while an elevated treehouse provides a peaceful retreat with drinks and snacks. The camp's riverside location attracts a constant parade of wildlife, particularly during the dry season when elephants gather at the river.
