Kibanda World

Kibanda World is a small beach lodge complex on Nungwi beach, on the northern tip of Zanzibar, built and run by the same team behind TGI Diving. The lodge grew out of a dive center that three friends opened over 35 years ago, and it still has that laid back, in the know feel rather than a big resort atmosphere. Rooms are spread across Kibanda Lodge itself, with Standard and Garden rooms just steps from a tropical garden and pool, plus the more private Kibanda Natural Kendwa Villa a short drive away on Kendwa beach, known for its calmer water and sunsets. Deluxe rooms add extra space and sea facing balconies for guests who want a bit more room. Food and drink follow a Dine Around concept: guests staying at Kibanda can eat at sister venues Nungwi Park, a garden restaurant known for Italian and seafood dishes, and Kibanda Beach Club, a barefoot beachfront spot for sundowners and dinner with the tide a few steps away. On site guests also have use of a swimming pool, a small spa, and direct access to the TGI Diving center, which runs daily trips to Mnemba Atoll, Tumbatu, and the Leven Bank. It suits divers, couples, and travelers who want an easy, walkable base in Nungwi with beach clubs and restaurants close by rather than an isolated resort.
