Highview Coffee Lodge

Tucked about 100 metres from its sister Highview Hotel, this lodge sits right among working coffee bushes in the cool green highlands of Karatu, on the forested edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Its double cottages each have two rooms, a large bathroom and a private veranda looking over the valley and the coffee farm below. Guests can dine in a private tent watching the sunset over the plantation, join a coffee tour to see the beans grown, picked and roasted on site, and still use the main hotel's pool, spa, restaurant and fireside lounge. Wild elephants occasionally wander down from the forest at night to feed on the coffee plants, leaving tracks for guests to spot at breakfast.
