Finch Hattons Luxury Camp

Named for Denys Finch Hatton, the aristocratic hunter and aviator of Out of Africa, this camp carries that old world safari romance without giving up modern comfort. Suites are set well apart along a boardwalk above hippo filled springs, so mornings begin with birdsong and the sound of water rather than neighbours. Interiors mix polished timber, campaign furniture, copper baths and deep verandas, and the 205 square metre family suites and the 200 square metre Finch Hattons Suite, the latter with its own plunge pool, butler and private guiding vehicle, give larger parties genuine space. Beyond twice daily game drives there are walks in the ancient cloud forest of the Chyulu Hills, visits to the Shetani lava flows and Mzima Springs, Maasai cultural encounters, stargazing and spa treatments. Being inside the park boundary means wildlife moves freely through the surrounding bush and drives start at the gate rather than an hour away.
