Elewana Lewa Safari Camp

Elewana Lewa Safari Camp sits in mature gardens on the western side of the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, close enough to Mount Kenya that the peak fills the horizon on a clear morning. Eleven thatch covered safari tents are laid out among the trees, each one a main bedroom with a full en-suite bathroom and a generous private verandah. Three of the tents can take a third bed for children, and family units give two bedrooms with a shared sitting area. The communal areas are unhurried: an open sided lounge with a log fire, a dining room that glows at night, a well stocked bar, and a wide deck for reading through the middle of the day. A little way from the tents a stone edged swimming pool and its shaded pool house look out over the plains. Laundry and Wi-Fi are handled for you, and the camp’s position inside the conservancy means game drives and guided walks start at the door rather than after a long transfer.
