Chada Katavi

Chada Katavi is a stylishly simple bush camp by Nomad Tanzania, set in the remote wilderness of Katavi National Park — one of Tanzania's most untouched and rarely visited parks. With just six tents, the camp offers an extraordinarily intimate safari experience in a landscape teeming with enormous buffalo herds, hippo pools, and predators. Each tent is decorated in old-world safari style with wooden furniture, comfortable beds, and a bush bathroom behind featuring traditional bucket showers and eco-flush toilets with hot and cold water on demand. Small verandas offer views over the vast Katavi plains. The camp's design remains light on the land, with no unnecessary fripperies — just authentic wilderness immersion. The dining tent and library provide comfortable spaces to relax between activities, while the culinary team prepares delicious African cuisine served al fresco or in your tent. Chada Katavi operates seasonally from June to November, coinciding with the dry season when wildlife concentrates around shrinking water sources in spectacular numbers.
