andBeyond Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge is set in the remote western reaches of the Serengeti, on a tributary of the Grumeti River known for its dramatic wildebeest crossings and enormous Nile crocodiles. With only ten luxuriously spacious suites lining the riverside, the lodge offers an intimate and immersive safari experience. Each suite features contemporary patterned ceilings, colourfully decorated rooms with large floor-to-ceiling windows, overhead fans, and en-suite bathrooms with a freestanding bathtub and indoor shower. From king-sized beds overlooking the water to private outdoor plunge pools, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to connect guests with the surrounding wilderness. The interactive kitchen creates a space for guests to work alongside chefs, while the traditional boma serves artisanal pizzas and salt-crusted whole baked fish. Spacious decks overlook the river, and the rim-flow swimming pool provides views of seasonal hippo pools below. Game drives from the lodge often encounter large lion prides, clans of hyena, herds of resident plains game, and the rare black-and-white colobus monkeys found nowhere else in the Serengeti.
